28th Annual Homewood
Area Chamber Fine Art Fair
New Location - Downtown Flossmoor on Sterling Avenue
June 6th & 7th, 2009. The Homewood Area Chamber's 28th Annual Juried Fine Art Fair
was moved to Flossmoor this year. It was a huge success.
The artists and residents expressed their delight in the new location.
There were several new artists who participated in this years event.
Many of them have already told us they will be coming back next year.
The food vendors for this years art fair were Fresh Starts Restaurant
& Wine Shop and Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery. The H/F
Park District did a fantastic job of entertaining everyone with their
Films in Flossmoor Musical Revue, the adult line dancing, and
activities for everyone at their cultural arts tent. At 1pm each
day the Frett Brothers would take over the stage and entertain the
crowd with their acoustical guitars. We would like to thank the
Downtown Flossmoor Business Association who sponsored a caricature
artist on Saturday. There were several great buys to be had in
the stores in the downtown Flossmoor area.
We would like to
thank the following businesses who provided breakfast for the artists
this year. Caribou Coffee, Flossmoor Station Restaurant &
Brewery, Great American Bagel, Neilsen's Bakery and Sweet Annies.
The Homewood Area
Chamber would like to give a special thanks to the Village of
Flossmoor, Homewood Disposal, AAA Rental and the Flossmoor Citizen's
Police Academy for their help in making this event a success.
The Chamber would
like to thank the following sponsors of this year's fine art fair.
They are: AAA Rental, Bella Vita Home
Accents, Downtown Flossmoor Business Association, Doyle Designed, Fresh Starts Restaurant & Wine Shop,
Harris Bank, Homewood Disposal, Southtown Star Newspaper and Walt's
